South Park is praised for being one of the funniest cartoons ever made. With over 300 episodes, the seriesfeatures a large ensemble cast of hilarious characters who have entertained fans throughout the years. One of the best and most popular characters inSouth Park is Eric Cartman, whose antics usually lead to some pretty funny, if not horrible scenarios.

5 Cartman Pretended To Have Tourette's Syndrome In "Le Petit Tourette"

In "Le Petit Tourette" (season 11, episode 8),Cartman managed to finagle a diagnosis thinking that he could get away with saying whatever he wanted if he pretended to have Tourette's Syndromes. When Kyle got in trouble for accusing Cartman of faking it, he had to apologize to him and was sent to The Children's Therapy Center, where he met other kids that actually have Tourette's Syndrome.

Cartman then got the opportunity to go on Dateline, where he would have been able to say anything he wanted on television. However, before he went on the show, he actually did start to say things he didn't mean to, a possible manifestation of his guilt. Kyle, afraid of what Cartman would say on the air, got him out of it and was shocked when Cartman thanked him, not knowing that he had done him a favor.

4 "Merry Christmas Charlie Manson!" Introduced Cartman's Relatives And Showed How They Influence Him

In "Merry Christmas Charlie Manson!" (season 2, episode 16), Cartman brought Stan, Kyle, and Kenny with him to his grandmother's house in Nebraska. There, the other children discovered how much of an impact Cartman's relatives had on him, as they said all of his catchphrases and jokes that fans enjoy while eating dinner.

That night, Cartman's uncle Howard, who had gotten arrested, escaped from prison with his friend, Charlie Manson, who took the kids to the mall to see Mr. Hankey and learn the true meaning of Christmas. Though Mr. Hankey ended up being a fake, the lessons that Charlie Manson taught the kids stuck with them – especially Stan – and they visited Manson in jail with Cartman's family at the end of the episode.

3 Cartman Preached To The Other Children In "Probably"

In "Probably"(season 4, episode 10), the children were afraid that they'd go to Hell if they didn't praise God. After losing faith in the town's church, Cartman became their leader. He studied the Bible, preached to the other kids, and planned to build his own church. The adults, including Sister Anne, tried to stop Cartman as they felt that the kids were going too far, but he was determined to keep preaching.

However, he also did bad things to the children, such as convincing them that he could smack them by making them think that he was putting the spirit of God in them. He then had them give him money, causing Stan and Kyle to become suspicious of what he was really doing. Cartman reveals to them that he was manipulating the other children to become rich and never actually cared about praising God. Afterward, Sister Anne and Jesus let the kids know that Cartman was wrong and that they shouldn't spend their lives in fear.

2 Cartman Fed Scott's Parents To Him In "Scott Tenorman Must Die"

In "Scott Tenorman Must Die" (season 5, episode 4), Scott tricked Cartman into buying his body hair. Cartman thought that by buying the hair, he would be more mature than his friends, not knowing that he was supposed to grow his own. Once he found out that Scott had deceived him, he tried to get his money back, but Scott kept manipulating him instead, conning the young boy into losing more than just his dignity but money as well.

In want of revenge, Cartman considered many schemes. He wanted to make a pony bite Scott's genitals and embarrass him in front of Radiohead, his favorite band. However, Cartman ended up doing the worst thing he ever did by the end of the episode. He got Mr. Jenkins to kill Scott's parents and then cooked their bodies into a chili that he tricked Scott into eating. When Scott found out what had happened, Cartman and the members of Radiohead made fun of him.

1 Cartman Tried To Make New Friends In "Cartman Joins NAMBLA"

After feeling like he was too mature to keep hanging out with Stan, Kyle, and Kenny in "Cartman Joins NAMBLA" (season 4, episode 5), Cartman decided to meet new friends on the internet. This plan backfired when predatory adults started speaking to him. Cartman met with them in person, thinking that they were going to hangout, only to be disappointed as the FBI kept arresting them. He eventually went to Dr. Alphonse Mephesto, hoping that he would be able to genetically engineer friends for him, but was advised to join NAMBLA instead.

There was some confusion as Dr. Alphonse Mephesto was referring to the North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes, but Cartman went to the North American Man Boy Love Association. After the latter NAMBLA asked Cartman to invite his friends to a hotel, Stan, Kyle, Butters, and Timmy tagged along. The kids were shocked to find out that the adults had bad intentions for them. Thankfully, the FBI caught the pedophiles at the end of the episode.
